Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures of Awardingly. (“Awardingly”, “we” or “us”) on the collection, use and disclosure of your information on the www.awardingly.com (the “Site”) and the services, applications, and other features or functionality available on or through the Awardingly website (collectively, the “Service”). Awardingly receives information about you from various sources, including through your user account/profile with Awardingly, your use of the Service, and from various third party websites and other services. When you use any of the Service, you are consenting to the collection, transfer, manipulation, storage, disclosure and other uses of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

What Does This Privacy Policy Cover?

This Privacy Policy covers Awardingly’s treatment of personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) that Awardingly gathers when you are accessing the Service. This Privacy Policy also covers Awardingly’s treatment of any Personal Information that Awardingly’s business partners share with Awardingly or Awardingly shares with its business partners. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that Awardingly does not own or control, including but not limited to any other sites, services and applications, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Google and Twitter (“Third Party Services”) that you elect to access through the Service, or to individuals that Awardingly does not employ or manage. While we attempt to provide access only to those Third Party Services that share our respect for your privacy, we cannot take responsibility for the content or privacy policies of those Third Party Services. We encourage you to carefully review the privacy policies of any Third Party Services you access.

What Personal Information Does Awardingly Collect?

The information we gather from users enables us to personalize and improve our services and to allow our users to register for the Service so that they can have a profile to use the Service. In connection with certain aspects of the Service, we may request and display some personal information to other users and visitors of the Service, which allows users to identify each other. We collect the following types of information from our users. Sign-In Information Collected: When you register for the Service or sign in using a Third Party Service, you will provide Personal Information, such as your name, username, password, age, and email address. You acknowledge that this information is personal to you, and by creating an account on Awardingy, you allow others, including Awardingly, to identify you. We may use your contact information to send you information about our Services or to market to you. You may unsubscribe from certain of these messages through instructions on the Site, but certain communications, such as invitations from Award issuers and important information regarding the Service are not subject to un-subscription. To the extent you provide Awardingly with personal information, you are not anonymous to us.

When you access the Service through a Third Party Service, such as Facebook Connect, then Awardingly may receive additional information about you through that Third Party Service. In each case, we will collect and record the information you have provided. We also may be able to collect other information about you (such as gender, age, education, occupation, hobbies, interests, relationship status, zip code, etc.) from Third Party Services (like Facebook Connect) (in accordance with the terms of use of those Third Party Services), which would then also be covered by this Privacy Policy. Additional Information: You may provide us with additional information to make public, such as your location or a profile picture. You may customize your account by providing additional information such as cell phone number, permitting geotagging, or allowing the Service to access information from your contact list. If you send us an email or other message, we may keep your message, email address and contact information to respond to your request. Providing any of this additional information is purely optional. Information Collected from Third Parties: You may choose to create a data feed to/from other accounts or services that you maintain through Third Party Services, such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Google or Twitter. If you elect to link to such Third Party Services, we may collect information related to your use of that Third Party Service, such as access tokens made available by that Third Party Service, and other information that is provided to us from that Third Party Service. Third Party Services may have the ability to restrict the information that is provided to us. Information You Elect to Make Public: The Service and Third Party Services accessed through the Service are primarily designed to assist you in sharing information with the world. Most of the information that you provide to us is information that you are asking us to make public. For example, all users who claim a particular Award can view others who have also claimed that Award. This also includes information that you desire to post to Third Party Services, such as sharing Awards through Twitter and Facebook. Depending on your privacy settings on such Third Party Services, this information may be provided to the public at large or only to those that you have permitted to access such information through the applicable Third Party Services. Any information that you publicly transmit may be instantly and broadly disseminated.

Financial Information We do not currently collect financial information, such as your payment method (e.g., valid credit card number, type, expiration date or other financial information) when you purchase a Badge. Rather, this information is collected and stored by our third party payment processing company (the “Payment Processor”), and use and storage of that information is governed by the Payment Processor’s applicable terms of service and privacy policy. Notwithstanding the above, we may from time to time request and receive some of your financial information from our Payment Processor for the purposes of completing transactions you have initiated through the Service, protecting against or identify possible fraudulent transactions, and otherwise as needed to manage our business. Third Party Services: As mentioned above, Awardingly allows you to register for the Service through Third Party Services and to access your accounts with Third Party Services through the Service. Any information that you elect to distribute through any of these services by using the Service is instantly provided to such Third Party Services and after leaving the Awardingly servers becomes accessible by such Third Party Services. Therefore, in addition to reviewing this Privacy Policy, you should also review the privacy policies of the Third Party Services that you access through the Service. You should review the Terms of Service and Privacy Policies of any Third Party Service providers, which presently include (but may not be limited to), Facebook, Twitter, Google and LinkedIn. Personal Information Collected Automatically:

  • We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with our Service or services. Awardingly automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, cookie information, and the page you requested.
  • Generally, our service automatically collects usage information, such as the numbers and frequency of visitors to our site and its components, similar to TV ratings that indicate how many people watched a particular show. Awardingly may use this data in aggregate form, that is, as a statistical measure, but not in a manner that would identify you personally. This type of aggregate data enables us to figure out how often customers use parts of the Service or services so that we can make the Service appealing to as many users as possible, and improve those services. As part of this use of information, we may provide aggregate information, not information about you personally, to our partners about how our customers, collectively, use the Site. We share this type of statistical data so that our partners also understand how often people use their services and our Service, so that they, too, may provide you with an optimal online experience. Email Communications: We may receive a confirmation when you open an email from us if your computer supports this type of program. We use this confirmation to help us make emails more interesting and helpful and improve our service. If you do not want to receive email or other mail from us, please indicate your preference during the registration process, by making a modification on your account settings page. What About Cookies?
  • Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer’s hard drive through your browser to enable our systems to recognize your browser and tell us how and when pages in our site are visited and by how many people. Awardingly cookies do not collect Personal Information, and we do not combine the general information collected through cookies with other Personal Information to tell us who you are or what your screen name or email address is.
  • Most browsers have an option for turning off the cookie feature, which will prevent your browser from accepting new cookies, as well as (depending on the sophistication of your browser software) allowing you to decide on acceptance of each new cookie in a variety of ways. We strongly recommend that you leave the cookies activated, however, because cookies enable you to take advantage of some of the Service’s most attractive features.
  • Ads appearing on the Service may be delivered to users by our advertising partners, who may set cookies. These cookies allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement to compile information about you or others who use your computer. This information allows ad networks to, among other things, deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This Privacy Policy covers the use of cookies by Basno and does not cover the use of cookies by any advertisers.
